Columbia Heights Finest! They work hard and you better believe they get the job done! I'm very proud to be a part of Columbia Heights and over the years I've had my vehicle broken into and other things like a vehicle accident, but what I needed them for yesterday really allowed me to see just how quickly our officer's perform their job. Someone had gained access to my account and yesterday I found out about it and filed a report. I tell you the truth it wasn't 3 hours that went by that the person was in custody. I would like to thank Columbia Heights police department for what they do everyday, and for how swiftly that acted on my behalf. We may not see their dedication but take it from me, these fine men and women in uniform are working very hard on our streets not only to keep us safe but to make the wrongs that has been done to us right!
Very condescending and rude. I also found out today from Officer Ash that if someone has a terminal illness and they don't have an appetite, you don't have to feed them and instead can just let them die of starvation. This guy needs to find another profession.
Police will lie about minor things on police reports just to get a point across. Big red flag there, if they lie about minor things, they will surely lie to cover their own asses. The current police chief has made reports conveniently disappear when it suits his purposes. Most of the officers seem intent on interpreting the law instead of enforcement. Columbia heights could be a great suburb if the police would simply enforce the laws and ordinances they have on the books. For instance, my neighbor has an illegal collector plate on their vehicle. The police have been made aware of the situation by several people, but don't want to pursue the matter. They would rather allow junk vehicles to flaunt the law than earn revenue for the city/state. That is a state law they are ignoring, by the way, and the lack of care goes all the way up in this city. This laziness will drive the people who actually care about what goes on in their neighborhood out, leaving Columbia heights in worse condition than it is now.
most of the department are rookies, known for quick to "shoot first, ask questions later". Always at Bobby & Steve's. Feels like sometimes there's nothing better to do, so minor violations do not go unnoticed.
do me a favor fix the problems behind mcdonalds, also tell your officers the somali one to stop texting and driving.
